Life Lessons I Learned In Gilmore Girls

Image
There’s something about Stars Hollow that makes you want to drink coffee at 11 p.m., read five books at once, and cry about a boy you saw for two seconds at the town hall meeting.       I first watched Gilmore Girls because everyone said, “You remind me of Rory.” But what kept me watching was the warmth, the chaos, and the comfort of a world where quick-witted women ran the show.      Here are some of the most important (and oddly timeless) life lessons Gilmore Girls taught me: 1. It’s Okay to Be the “Smart Girl”      Rory made it cool to carry a book everywhere. She reminded me that ambition, curiosity, and awkward overachiever energy aren’t things to hide — they’re things to own. Whether she was reading Anna Karenina at a party or freaking out about a D on a test (same, honestly), Rory showed me that being a little obsessive about your dreams is a good thing. 2. Your Relationship with Your Mom Matters (and Can Be Weirdl...

My Thoughts on the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Game.

Image
If you've played The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Game as much as I have, this week has been rough. Gun Interactive, the team behind one of the most atmospheric and addictive asymmetrical horror games out there, announced they’re officially done with updates and bug fixes. The game will still be running, but there's a depressing level to it that will break your heart.  No more content. No more patches. Just… silence.      As someone who’s spent hours in this game, mastering characters, learning maps, and soaking up the gritty chaos that only Texas Chainsaw can bring, it honestly breaks my heart. The potential this game has is insane. It’s not just another horror multiplayer — it captures that dirty, brutal, slasher-flick energy in a way no other game has.      Yes, there have been bugs. Yes, there have been balance issues. But the core experience? It's something special. It feels different. And that’s rare.     Anoth...

Elle Woods Is My Life Coach, And This Is What She Taught Me (WWEWD?)

Image
Let’s be honest: if there’s one woman who has never once let a man, a mean girl, or a mid-grade professor dim her sparkle, it’s Elle freaking Woods .      I’ve watched Legally Blonde more times than I can count (and yes, I still scream when she wins the case). But beyond the pink, the bend-and-snap, and the Harvard Law realness, Elle taught me lessons I didn’t even realize I needed about confidence, growth, and staying soft in a world that wants you to be sharp-edged.     So if Elle were my life coach (which, spiritually, she is ), here’s what she’d tell me — and maybe you too: 1) "Being underestimated is your secret weapon." Elle got laughed out of the admissions office and turned around with scented paper and a 179 on her LSAT. Let them doubt you. Let them think you’re just “the girl who likes pink” or “not serious enough.” Then surprise them by showing up, showing out, and succeeding without losing your sparkle. Elle’s Rule: Your...

Welcome To My Little Corner Of The Internet

Image
Good day, amazing and beautiful readers!      My name is Jole Leonard, and I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome to my little corner of the internet—aka my digital diary . This blog is a space where I’ll share the real, the raw, the ridiculous, and everything in between. And trust me, there’s a bit of a backstory behind it all.      Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been obsessed with writing. I was reading Twilight at 4 years old (yes, really), and I used to create whole worlds in my head. Complete with characters, settings, and little drama arcs. Eventually, I started turning those daydreams into stories, spending hours writing mini-novels. I wish I still had them, but sadly, those stories have been lost.      Then came January 2025 and my composition class, which reignited my love for writing in a whole new way. I was completely drawn in by the art of it all. My professor, Dr. Cryer, was incredible —even though we didn’t always see eye to eye (...
